First Semester Struggles.
Writing NonsesIt all Began with inquiring what the meaning of ethics is and effectively defining a problem. We sat together as a class as Mrs. Rothwell guided a discussion on what makes a problem, a problem? "If a problem only effects a minority, is it still a problem?" as a class we discussed the matter of problems and the ethics surrounding our world.

This quote resinated with me the most.
We discussed how most of the time problems are not well understood. This study has allowed me to see that before even thinking about a solution, one must become an expert on what makes the problem a problem. |
Too Many ProblemsDuring and even a few days after Thanksgiving break, my biggest problem was my inability to choose one to study. In my journal I spoke about how I wanted to study a problem where my input could be significant. After the break we continued to analyze problems as a class and after a lot of debate I finally decided on understanding why the first semester of college can become so difficult.

Once I finally decided on my topic I sat down an wrote out my proposal. The document to the left is my final proposal. I was able to establish this piece of the overall project with help of my journal and the in-class work. Working on my proposal in class was very beneficial because I was able to hear feed back from my peers as well as Mrs. Rothwell.

Once my proposal was establish I began working on an Annotated Bibliography. This helped me differentiate between the research that was credible and research that may have been misled. This benefited me in establishing a works cited that was refined and credible. In doing so I developed a study that became more then a school assignment.

In Class
From research on my own, came multiple days working in class with the ability to gain input from my peers and Mrs. Rothwell
Looking back at my writing I am most pleased with the way I was able to layout my information in a way that refined my study and set a professional but intriguing mood to my study
